The trials of motherhood...

It's currently 16:44 and I'm shattered.
Yeah, I know, something ALL new parents say - but Ada has been crying her little head off for the past hour and a half, which is since she had had her bottle.
Currently the little monster is having a 7oz bottle every 3 hours and she's been fine with this for the past month or so... not today though.
At 15:00 it's nap time, I settle her into her cot with Ewen The Dream Sheep playing in his soft melodic way. I put on her night light which emanates a lovely warm glow and I pass her her favorite teddies - Lambie and Yellow Dog.
This is our usual routine, the same routine we've had since Ada was about 7 weeks old or so.
Anyway, today it went down like a lead balloon.
After 10 mins, Ada was screaming. I mean, really screaming. I picked her up, hugged her and without saying a word put her down and left the room.
5 more mins passed and she starts crying again. I pick her up, change her nappy - it's dirty. So that's what the issue is... right? WRONG!
I continue to venture back and fourth to her room for the next 20 minutes- her crying only getting worse and finally it dawns on me... SHE'S HUNGRY. AGAIN!!!
Whut?
Her last bottle was just before her nap time, so say, about 14:45 or so... and she drank the whole 7oz...
I make her another bottle and she downs the whole thing! Silly mummy, how could I have not realised she was hungry, again?
OK, so it'd only been an hour or so since her last bottle - so that's 14oz in less than an hour I can't believe she was hungry AGAIN!
So now our routine is well and truly FUBARed for today. Ada is asleep. Finally. A mixture of hunger and tiredness do NOT make a great combination.
I think we're going to get her a highchair tomorrow, maybe we'll start weaning. Not sure.
I've phoned the health visitor so hopefully I'll hear back soon.
Ah, trials and tribulations. Exhaustion and frustration. The joys of motherhood. You know what though? Ada May is worth absolutely all of it.
